ShockPrice rise alert: ScottishPower announced on the 7th June its second round of price rises in 9 months, which will affect 2.4 million households. Its standard plan customers will see a 19% or £124 increase in gas prices and a 10% or £56 increase in electricity prices from 1st August 2011.
This latest hike will add an extra £180 on to the average annual standard dual fuel bill, which will increase from £1,211 to £1,391 as a result [1].
